WORD actively engaged in SMC Restructuring Meetings across Namakkal Schools

The Tamil Nadu Government has announced a planning meeting to restructure the School Management Committee (SMC) across all schools in the state. This restructuring will include the new addition of school alumni and is scheduled for August 2, 2024.

On this date, meetings were conducted in schools throughout Tamil Nadu. Staff, volunteers, and members of the community support group from WORD actively participated in these restructuring meetings across various schools in Namakkal District.

Their involvement included insightful contributions to discussions, aiming to foster positive changes in the educational environment at the school level. Notably, 13 of these members are currently part of the SMC in the schools, with hopes for even more inclusions in the upcoming term.
